Avery
Beckman
Los Angeles based Performer
Avery is a vibrant and ambitious power-house, graduating from the Ray Bolger Musical Theatre program at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film, and Television. Within the program, she performed in two mainstage productions: Something Rotten! (Snug) and The Great Comet of 1812 (Marya D.). She also worked on various student-led productions such as Rent (Ensemble), The Rocky Horror Show (Magenta/Usherette/Narrator), and Head Over Heels (Pamela). In regards to new work, Avery pioneered the role of Marie in The Sexy, Sexy Milkmaid, which combined her two favorite things: a comedic storyline and devised theatre-making. As well as collaborating in musicals, she originated a role in the world premiere of The C Word (Mona). In the same year, Avery went to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to perform the same show in a vastly different role (Ollie). Her credits also include two original musical workshops: The Golden Record (Ensemble) and Yesterday Once More (Lead). In addition, Avery performs with Awaken A Cappella and is going to perform with her group in UCLA’s annual talent show, Spring Sing! She finds so much joy in performance art and wants to continue to be a vessel through which others can enjoy it as well.
